As a little girl noisily pulled up a pail from the well, suddenly a shadow caught her eye. When Amy looked up, she saw a blue trail of light.
From the sky there came an eye and it stared at her strangely. Aaaaaah she screamed and scared the moon thing away. Then it jumped out of sight.
Then he peeked up to see if it was safe. The moon eye glowed over the forest. It stood up cautiously and looked around.
He sprinkled lunar dust on Amy, which hovered over her. The moon came in close and picked up a fence without effort and gave it to Amy as a gift. He pulled up the pail from the well and gave it to her politely.
The moon monster flew into the sky. Amy looked into her pail and saw him reflected there. She knew that she had made a new friend.
